Terms and Conditions – Glasgow Private Tours

1. General

These Terms and Conditions, along with any other written information provided before booking confirmation, form the contract between Glasgow Private Tours ('us', 'we', or 'the Company') and you ('the Customer'). Please read these terms carefully before booking.

By making a booking, the lead passenger accepts these terms on behalf of all individuals in the booking.

We strive for accuracy in our pricing and information, but occasional changes and errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct pricing and tour details when necessary. All tours are subject to availability.

2. Booking Process

Your booking is not confirmed until we issue a booking confirmation, at which point a binding contract is formed. Payment is required in full before confirmation.

3. Pricing

🚫 Admission fees are not included unless specifically stated in the tour description.

4. Group Bookings

For groups of 8 or more, please contact us for a custom quote. Pricing may be adjusted based on group size. Deposits may be required for group bookings.

5. Changes by You

  • To modify your booking, email us as soon as possible.

  • Changes are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee.

  • If changes result in a higher-priced tour, the price difference must be paid.

  • If you can’t attend, your booking can be transferred to someone else at least 24 hours before the tour.

6. Changes by Us

  • We may need to adjust tour itineraries due to weather, road closures, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • If a significant change is required, we will offer: ✅ An alternative tour of equal or superior quality. ✅ A substitute tour of lower value (with a price adjustment). ✅ A full refund if neither option is suitable.

7. Cancellations by You

  • Free rescheduling to another available tour day.

  • ✅ If switching to a tour of different value, price differences apply.

  • 🚫 Cancellations less than 48 hours before the tour = 100% cancellation fee.

8. Cancellations by Us

  • We only cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

  • In this case, we offer: ✅ A rescheduled tour on a different date. ✅ A different available tour (price adjusted if necessary). ✅ A full refund.

If we cancel, you will be informed by 7 PM the day before departure.

9. No Show Policy

  • Customers must ensure they arrive on time.

  • Missing a tour due to incorrect departure location, documentation issues, or delays is treated as a cancellation with no refund.

10. Refusal of Travel

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose behavior is:

  • Disruptive or offensive.

  • Poses a risk to the group or guide.

If refused service, no refunds will be issued.

11. Liability & Third-Party Suppliers

Some elements of your tour may be provided by independent suppliers, who operate under their own terms and conditions.

  • Transport providers

  • Entrance tickets to attractions

  • Restaurant bookings

Our liability is limited to twice the value of your booking, except in cases of death, personal injury, or fraud, where legal protections apply.

12. Special Requests & Accessibility

  • Special requests (dietary needs, accessibility, etc.) must be made at the time of booking.

  • While we do our best to accommodate, we cannot guarantee all requests.

  • Some tours may not be suitable for mobility-impaired travelers. Contact us before booking.

13. Children on Tours

👶 Children of all ages are welcome and travel free on our tours.

14. Luggage Policy

🧳 Our tours involve walking, so all personal belongings should be compact, sturdy, and waterproof if necessary.

15. Complaints Procedure

  • Issues should be reported to your guide immediately so we can resolve them.

  • If unresolved, email hello@glasgowprivatetours.com within 28 days of your tour.

16. Travel Insurance

🚨 We strongly recommend arranging travel, medical, and cancellation insurance before your trip.

17. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

  • We comply with UK GDPR regulations to protect your personal data.

  • We do not share your data with third parties except where required for booking purposes.

18. Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events)

These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish law. Disputes may be brought to the courts of Scotland or your country of residence (England, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Eire).
